Process: General Contracting

During the preconstruction phase of projects, we identify and resolve construction issues that could impact cost or schedule. Preconstruction planning is a collaborative process that enables us to coordinate the myriad disciplines required to manage a project in the most efficient and effective manner possible. With proper lead time, we can focus our attention on evaluating bids and assembling a team of qualified subcontractors, specialty contractors and vendors available for the best price.

Once construction begins, we focus on the details, utilizing the management principles of communication, collaboration and coordination. It is a matter of practicality and our responsibility as managers to confer with the design team and speak up when the project might benefit from value engineering. It is also our obligation to control project cost and schedule to maximize the owner's return on investment.

On several occasions, we have been invited to complete projects begun by other contractors. We have a track record of success in managing the selective integration of existing subcontractors and providing a smooth transition on these contract completion assignments.
